Parenting class can help being a good parents for you

Being a parent is one of most thankful gift from God. Can you imagine your lovely baby’s peaceful face? It is beautiful. There are no parents who do not love their children and most of them decided be a good parent. However, how? Some of parents have no idea about way to be a good parent. Parents believe that they do their best for their children. However, it is not enough because there are lots of knowledge that is important to parenting. Parents get this knowledge in parenting class. Parenting classes give useful information about parenting, are also good for parents themselves and save money.

First of all, parents can get some of useful information about parenting. They can learn about infants. It is especially difficult to take care of infants because they cannot express what they want or need. At this time, you can avoid this kind of embarrassing situation as taking parenting classes. For example, parenting classes teach how to keep staying infants’ body temperature and put infants to bed. In addition parenting class can give more effective education information for parents. The home is a first socialization place to children. In this period, parents' role is very important because children are socialized to imitate parents' behavior. If parents show bad behavior in front of their children, they may learn by just looking parents’ behavior. According to Hayes(2003), children who is exposed violent frequently at their home more tend to violent than other children. This research shows that children's behavior is directly related with their parents’ behavior. Parenting classes teach how to act in front of your children and what is efficient way to talk to your children. Therefore as taking parenting classes, parent can avoid serious problem caused by lack of knowledge about children.

Secondly, parenting classes are also good for parents because parenting is not one sided but two sided communication. It is opportunity of moral growth for them. For instance, they will learn about practical love for family, how to be happy, healthy and cooperative. During this course, parents can feel some kind of responsibility and they will realize that they really love their family because this class is a kind of mental cure class too. In addition, parenting classes teach how to consider and understand others. Usually parents do not try to understand their children when they make a trouble with children. Parents do not want to hear about their opinion and just criticize about that because they think that is only children's fault. Most of family’s conflict between parents and children is caused by this misunderstanding. Parenting classes help to understand each other. For example, in this classes include kind of role playing. During this class, parents perform their children as if they are children. After this class they can understand their children easier than before. Therefore parenting classes can improve parents’ moral personality.

Finally, parenting class can help family's economic conditions. The cost of parenting is very expensive. Dalrymple, (2007) has reported that “a couple can plan to spend between $143,790 and $289,380 on a child through age 17.” We can know from this research that how much money spends for their children. However parents who have lots of knowledge about education by taking parenting class can save their money because they will know which education is more effective for children. Especially babies' case, they need lots of medical services because their body is weaker than adult. However parents who took classes about children's medical commonsense can avoid unnecessary spending. Therefore parenting class can save their money.

There are some people who do not agree with parenting classes argue that there are no one who have more information about their children than them. Therefore parenting class is unnecessary program. This argument is exactly untrue. Even if their children are the only one in the world, their behavior have similar pattern with other children because they are influenced not only their parents but also friends too. For instance, most of family’s trouble occurs during the age of adolescence because young people experience a lot of changing in their body and mentality. Parenting classes give some advices about adolescence. For example, parenting classes teach how to talk with their children, advice to their children suffering from physical changing. In addition, parenting classes give chance to change their mind about their children. Usually parents treat their children as a just baby. However even if baby, they have their own opinion and their opinion have to be respected by others. Most of parents pass out this point Parenting classes have many kind of lecture about adolescences. By taking this lecture, parents realize that their children are not just a baby but an individual person. Therefore parenting classes are necessary program for all of parents.

In conclusion, by taking parenting class you can be a good parent. It can give you useful information about parenting, is also good for parents and can help family's economic conditions. Even if, most of parents love their children, they may not know how to love. It is very important. There is no place which is better than own home. It is easy to be a parent but it is difficult to be a good parent. You want to have a happy family with your lovely children? Take parenting classes! It makes you best parent.
